The Heart's Trail follows Town of Death. Game8 lists two bosses for it, Wu Xuan and Gu Wanyue, both in Pangzhen. Reported · Game8

The short version

Guides for this quest are very thin. Game8 gives the chapter name and its two bosses, and PowerPyx's Pangzhen route gives the order, the Bells and the rewards. Nobody has written a move list for either boss yet, and we say so instead of guessing.

Step by step

Each step carries a mark. The route is PowerPyx's collectible order, so it shows where the Bells and fights fall, not every objective. Pickups are on the collectibles page, and saving and fast travel explains Bells.

1. Carry on through Pangzhen after the tavern

Reported · PowerPyx PowerPyx's collectible route, which follows story order, runs on from the Cavalrybane fight and Myst's Tavern Bell like this: South Town Pond Bell, Backstreet Archway Bell, the Wu Xuan fight, the Ink Stick, Zhang's Hideout Bell, then later Narrow Alley Residence Bell, Pond of Fading Song Bell and the Gu Wanyue fight.

2. Fight Wu Xuan

Reported · Game8 Wu Xuan, The Fallen General, is the first boss of The Heart's Trail. PowerPyx puts the arena after the Backstreet Archway Bell, reached from South Town Pond over a bridge. Game8 groups him in its Perfect Transcensions boss type.

3. Fight Gu Wanyue

Reported · Game8 Gu Wanyue, The Wailing Wraith, is the second boss of The Heart's Trail. PowerPyx places her after the Pond of Fading Song Bell, which you reach by following the street toward the singing. Game8 groups her in its Maskwalkers boss type.

About the names

Neither boss appears in Steam's achievement list, so these names rest on guides alone. Game8 spells the region Pengzhen in its boss table; we use Pangzhen, which every other source uses. The titles "The Fallen General" and "The Wailing Wraith" come from PowerPyx only.

Where the quest ends and what follows

After unlock Where The Heart's Trail ends is not documented. After Gu Wanyue, PowerPyx's route continues in Pangzhen with Xie Qiudong, The Divine Healer, but Game8's boss table lists only Wu Xuan and Gu Wanyue for the quest and gives no bosses for The Lake.
