What follows
After Town of Death, Game8's chapter list moves to The Heart's Trail, with Wu Xuan and Gu Wanyue as its bosses. PowerPyx calls them Wu Xuan, The Fallen General, at the Backstreet Archway Bell, and Gu Wanyue, The Wailing Wraith, near the Pond of Fading Song Bell.

1. Leave the Village of Lu for Pangzhen

Steam has a hidden achievement, Blossom of False Salvation, for leaving the Village of Lu for Pangzhen. Confirmed · Steam Ring Bells as you go: our saving and fast travel page explains why.

2. Work up to the South Gate Bridge and fight Blaze

Reported · PowerPyx PowerPyx's collectible route, which follows story order, runs through Pangzhen like this: the South Gate Bridge Bell, the Blaze fight, the Jingyang Hall Bell, the Marketplace, the Huang Manor and Pavilion of Knowledge crossroads Bells, then the Cavalrybane arena and the tavern with the Myst's Tavern Bell.

Reported · Game8 Blaze, Shadow Warden Captain, is the first boss of Town of Death. PowerPyx places him after the South Gate Bridge Bell and Game8 lists him as a Town of Death main boss.

3. Cross the market and fight Cavalrybane

Reported · Game8 Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden, is the second Town of Death boss. PowerPyx puts the fight midway through Pangzhen, after the Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads, and the reward is the Armybreaker.

4. Open the Order's underground tavern

Reported · PC Gamer Part of the quest is opening the Order's underground tavern. PC Gamer says to go to the wine yard behind the tavern building, smash the large black jar behind the pavilion on the right to reveal a crank, and use it to open the cellar. It calls the tavern required to progress through Pangzhen and a hub for side quests.

Steam also has a hidden achievement for it, Into the Deadly Trap. Confirmed · Steam Steam has an achievement named Into the Deadly Trap for visiting the Order's Tavern.

Where does Flame fit?

Conflict · PowerPyx Sources disagree on where Flame, the Lion Dance Grandmaster, falls in Pangzhen. PowerPyx's trophy guide puts him at the start of the first section of Pangzhen, while PowerPyx's collectible route reaches the Lion Dance Hall and his arena late in the Pangzhen route. Game8's boss table lists no Flame under Town of Death. Attack patterns and counters are on the Flame boss page.
