Phantom Blade Zero collectibles: Sha-Chi Amber, Blackstone and Memory Flowers

Sha-Chi Amber and Blackstone come in shards, four to a whole piece, and give permanent +10% boosts. Memory Flowers raise your maximum HP. PowerPyx counts 40 Amber shards, 40 Blackstone shards and 129 Memory Flowers. Reported · PowerPyx

All three feed a Steam achievement, and none is flagged missable by the outlets we checked. These are launch-day figures from guide sites, not S-GAME numbers, so every row below carries its status and sources. We link each guide's location pages instead of copying their lists.

Sha-Chi Amber: how many
PowerPyx counts 40 Sha-Chi Amber Shards in the game, which would make 10 whole Ambers.
Reported · PowerPyx
Blackstone: what it does
Four Blackstone Shards combine into one whole Blackstone, which permanently raises damage by 10%. Fextralife words it as base Attack Power and Guard Break +10% and adds that whole Blackstones are needed for some advanced Abilities-tree nodes.

Memory Flowers: what they do
Memory Flowers are found as fragments in groups of 2 to 6. Completing a group finishes that memory, adds story detail and permanently raises Soul's maximum HP; Fextralife says 5%, 7% or 10% depending on the memory. Reviewers also tie them to unlocking some character skills.

Memory Flowers: how many

Sources disagree on how many Memory Flowers exist: PowerPyx counts 129, while Fextralife has documented 20 memories made of 60 petals across four regions and says its list is partial.

  • Fextralife
All Memory Flowers (Phantom Blade Zero Wiki)

How we handle it: The two outlets may count different things (whole memories or single petals) and Fextralife is still filling gaps. PowerPyx's own Weeping Creek Valley page shows 1, against Fextralife's 7 memories there. Treat every figure as provisional until a full in-game count exists.

Missable?
None of the seven PowerPyx region pages marks a Sha-Chi Amber Shard, Blackstone Shard or Memory Flower as missable, and PowerPyx says anything not flagged can be collected in free roam after the story. It does warn that some Side Tales become missable if you push the story too far, that defeated enemies do not respawn, and that some enemy-dropped Memory Flowers are buggy in the Mandate Encampment.
Reported · PowerPyx
Achievements
Steam has three collection achievements: Complete Mastery (collect 10 Sha-Chi Ambers), Leave No Stone Unturned (collect 10 Blackstones) and Listen to Every Flower (collect 10 Memory Flowers). The PS5 list we hold has only Listen to Every Flower for these three.

Sha-Chi Amber Fragments

Outlets name the pieces differently: Shards on PowerPyx, Fragments on Game8 and Fextralife, while Steam says "Sha-Chi Ambers" for the whole item. They are the same collectible. Four pieces fuse into one Sha-Chi Amber, and each Amber permanently raises Soul's maximum Sha-Chi by 10%. Reported · PowerPyx

PowerPyx counts 40 shards, which is 10 Ambers and matches the Steam achievement Complete Mastery, "Collect 10 Sha-Chi Ambers" (that match is our arithmetic, not a source claim). Game8 and Fextralife list only a few shards per region so far and say they are still filling in the rest. Reported · PowerPyx

Spot-by-spot directions, region by region, are on the Sha-Chi Amber Fragment locations page. The Banyan tree trials that pay out Banyan's Hearts have their own page.

Blackstone Fragments

Blackstone follows the same rule: four shards fuse into one Blackstone. PowerPyx says each one raises damage by 10%; Fextralife words it as base Attack Power and Guard Break +10% and adds that whole Blackstones are required to unlock some advanced Abilities-tree nodes (its examples need one or two). Reported · PowerPyx

PowerPyx counts 40 shards, again 10 whole Blackstones, matching the achievement Leave No Stone Unturned. Fextralife has documented 18 across five regions and flags its list as incomplete. Reported · PowerPyx

Spot-by-spot directions are on the Blackstone Fragment locations page.

Memory Flowers

A Memory Flower is a story collectible made of fragments, 2 to 6 per memory. Finishing a memory adds backstory and permanently raises maximum HP; Fextralife says by 5%, 7% or 10% depending on the memory, and GamesRadar+ adds that they also tie into unlocking some character skills. How many Memory Flowers are there?

Sources disagree on how many Memory Flowers exist: PowerPyx counts 129, while Fextralife has documented 20 memories made of 60 petals across four regions and says its list is partial.

How we handle it: The two outlets may count different things (whole memories or single petals) and Fextralife is still filling gaps. PowerPyx's own Weeping Creek Valley page shows 1, against Fextralife's 7 memories there. Treat every figure as provisional until a full in-game count exists.

The achievement Listen to Every Flower asks for 10 Memory Flowers. The achievement text does not say whether that means finished memories or single fragments, so we are checking it in game. Confirmed · Steam Community

Spot-by-spot directions, with the HP bonus of each memory, are on the Memory Flower locations page.

Counts by region

PowerPyx's seven regional collectible pages give the numbers below. Region names appear on PowerPyx and Fextralife (Weeping Creek Valley, Crimson Forest, Village of Lu, Pangzhen, Meigu Lake) and in the Chinese chapter list (all seven). The game has two more regions, Mirage Estate and Mount Soulrend, which PowerPyx lists but gives no counts for. Reported · PowerPyx

PowerPyx per-region counts · reported
Region Amber shards Blackstone shards Memory Flowers
Weeping Creek Valley 4 4 1 (disputed)
Crimson Forest 6 6 18
Village of Lu 4 4 16
Pangzhen 12 12 33
Mandate Encampment 4 4 19
Meigu Lake 6 6 30
Mountain of Imprisonment 4 4 6
Total listed 40 40 123 of 129

The Memory Flower column leaves 6 of PowerPyx's 129 unaccounted for, and its Weeping Creek Valley figure of 1 conflicts with Fextralife's 7 memories there (see above). We give regions and counts only. For exact spots, use the guides in Sources: PowerPyx has one page per region, Fextralife has "All Blackstone Fragments", "All Memory Flowers" and "All Sha Chi Fragments" pages.

Can you miss them?

None of the seven PowerPyx region pages marks a Sha-Chi Amber Shard, Blackstone Shard or Memory Flower as missable, and PowerPyx says anything not flagged can be collected in free roam after the story. It does warn that some Side Tales become missable if you push the story too far, that defeated enemies do not respawn, and that some enemy-dropped Memory Flowers are buggy in the Mandate Encampment. Reported · PowerPyx

Our advice until we verify it: finish each region before you push the story, and keep a manual save at the start and end of each region.

Achievements and the Platinum

Steam has three collection achievements. The PS5 list we hold has only Listen to Every Flower among them. The PS5 Platinum, Defy Destiny, asks for all remaining trophies, and the Steam achievement of that name unlocks after the other 65, so on both platforms these sit on the 100% route. Reported · Exophase

The Steam percentages are a snapshot a few hours after launch. Tracking progress on the full lists happens on the achievements and trophies page. Confirmed · Steam Community

Questions

How many Sha-Chi Amber Fragments are there?

PowerPyx counts 40, which would make 10 whole Ambers at four shards each. That is one outlet's count taken hours after launch, so treat it as provisional.

Reported · PowerPyx
What do Sha-Chi Amber and Blackstone do?

Each whole Sha-Chi Amber raises your maximum Sha-Chi by 10%, and each whole Blackstone adds a permanent 10% to damage (Fextralife words it as base Attack Power and Guard Break). Four shards make one whole piece.

Reported · PowerPyx
Can I miss Memory Flowers, Ambers or Blackstones?

No outlet we checked flags any of them as missable, but we have not verified that in game. Some Side Tales are missable, and defeated enemies do not respawn, so finish each region before moving on.

Reported · PowerPyx
Do I need all of them for the Platinum?

You need the collection achievements, which ask for 10 of each type of whole item. Steam's last achievement, Defy Destiny, unlocks only after the other 65, so Complete Mastery, Leave No Stone Unturned and Listen to Every Flower are on the 100% route.
