1. Cross the plains and ring the entrance Bell

Break the chained barrier with the Dread Axe, take the stream path under the stone bridge, then fight across the bridge. Reported · Game8

The stream path ends at a Blood-Stopper Vine, one of the herbs for Yu'er's Apprentice Healer tale.
Heavy attacks with the Dread Axe break the greatshields of the enemies on the bridge.
Ring the Creek Valley Plains Entrance Bell. A disciple there starts the Deep in the Valley side quest. Reported · Game8 Our saving and fast travel page explains Bells.

2. The Ruthless Archer Camp

A short cutscene shows The Hunt, then you clear a camp full of archers. Reported · Game8

Pick off the archers on roofs and towers first. Climb to the top watchtower and ring the Ruthless Archer Camp Bell.
Keep the Broken-String Bow from the last enemy for the Purge the Sect tale. Reported · Fextralife

3. Climb to the Valley Sha-Chi Tower

Cross the bridge and ring the tower's 1st Floor Bell. Reported · Game8

Rush the explosive thrower at the bridge end, and use the Dread Axe against the shield carrier by the cell.
The hole behind the tower is the way down to Hua.

4. Fight Hua, Deadly Betrothed

A slide drops you among enemies, and stone stairs lead to a flower field. Reported · Game8

Take the Twin Flesh Lilies at her lair before you leave. They are for Yu'er's Flesh Lily tale from Against the Flow.

5. Up the tower and down the far side

Climb the tower floors to the summit Bell, where a Shadow Warden asks for help. Reported · Game8

A second Shadow Warden below the tower drops the Furnace Inspection Crank for the A Severed Mindseal tale.
The Pillars of Kunlun quest starts with a man on the way down. Conflict · Game8
Ring the Waterfall Bridge Bell and check the cave chest below the bridge before crossing. Reported · Game8

6. Fight The Hunt at the Great Waterfall

Cross the wall to the Great Waterfall Bell, upgrade, then enter the arena. Reported · Game8

Winning gives the Hunter's Chain Sickle. How to use it is on its own page.

7. Leave through the cave

Climb out of the arena, scale the wall with the Sickle and swing across the chain. Reported · Game8

Reaching the cave exit ends the quest. With the Sickle you can return for items you missed. Reported · Fextralife

What happens after the cave · show

Game8 describes a flashback that takes Soul to the Crimson Forest. Fextralife says only that the chapter ends. Reported · Game8

Optional: The Gold-Masked One

Southeast of the tower, interact with the dragon statue at the Weeping Creek Long Pillar to start a hard duel. Reported · Game8
