Medicine can be upgraded once you reach Pangzhen: an Apprentice Healer at the Green Serpent House does it, and upgrade levels raise healing, Sha-Chi or damage negation and add uses.

Two abilities touch medicine: Healing Art gives one extra use, and Blood Remedy can restore uses when you defeat enemies.

Sha-Chi Blood Catalyst Boosts Sha-Chi combo damage by 20% for 15 seconds and restores 20% HP, but sets you on fire. Meigu Lake: reward for returning Quick Hand Zhang's treasures there. Effect and place from PC Gamer, one outlet. Reported
Longevity Tonic No outlet states the effect yet. Reward for the Kin Against Kin tale (it starts in Pangzhen and completes at the Bitter Kin memory in Meigu Lake). Game8 says Meigu Lake and PowerPyx says Pangzhen for the tale; both agree on the reward. Reported

The region guides are the better route for the rest: Weeping Creek Valley, Crimson Forest, Mandate Encampment, Mirage Estate, Pangzhen and Meigu Lake. The Village of Lu has medicine too, but PowerPyx names it only as "a medicine" in two houses, so we do not list it by name.

How many medicines can I carry in Phantom Blade Zero?

Game8 says you can equip two medicines at a time. Resting at a Bell refills their uses, and GamesRadar+ adds that they also refill when you come back to life.

Yes, once you reach Pangzhen. PC Gamer says an Apprentice Healer at the Green Serpent House upgrades it, and that levels raise healing, Sha-Chi or damage negation and add uses. Exact numbers are not published yet.

What does the Focus Pill do?

Fextralife says it reduces Sha-Chi use by 30% and restores 30% HP over 15 seconds. It sits in a chest in Weeping Creek Valley, behind a barricade you break with the Dread Axe. Only Fextralife gives the numbers.
