Game Rant: after Yuzan, look around the bell; two elevated platforms in the boss arena with a red hue, puppet sitting at the back. Talk to Cui's puppet for Cui's Red Ribbon. BWIKI: puppet Cui at the Puppet Testing Grounds (人偶试验场) in Lu. PowerPyx's Lu page: Bell (Puppet Testing Grounds) in the arena where you fought Yuzan.
The Mountain of Imprisonment stretch needs the Illusory Pipa (Game Rant calls that region missable). Game Rant: finish pending quests before you head to Mirage Estate.
Yes. Game Rant: miss picking up Rootless Dew in Bi Feng's boss arena and the chain stops after the second encounter; the Mountain of Imprisonment itself needs Illusory Pipa; finish pending quests before Mirage Estate.

Game Rant, 30 Oct 2026 Where to Find Cui's Grandfather & Parents in Phantom Blade Zero (Red Ribbon) Yuzan arena start; Lu Sanqian; Rootless Dew; Mount Soulrend finish.
How we handle it: Game Rant: after Yuzan, two elevated platforms in the boss arena with a red hue; puppet sits at the back. BWIKI and PowerPyx's Lu page: Puppet Testing Grounds (PowerPyx: in the Yuzan arena). They may be the same place; we list both and do not pick one.
Release Lu Sanqian; he asks you to open a gate. Pick up Rootless Dew in Bi Feng's boss arena or the chain stops. After Kui Yanyan, release him from a cage and use Rootless Dew to quench his thirst. PowerPyx: speak with Lu lying on the ground along the main path right before The Lady's Shrine bell. Find Cui's parents west of The Last Mandate Encampment bell on Mount Soulrend (PowerPyx: man and woman on a box in the fenced area) to complete the tale.
