Red, The Mysterious Swordswoman: boss guide
Red is an optional swordswoman on a roof in Mandate Encampment. Game8 and PCGamesN agree that a thread bind is the tell for a follow-up strike. They disagree on the reward: PCGamesN and TechWiser list none, Game8 says the fight advances Daughter of the Dark Sect. Reported · Game8
Launch guides write Red, The Mysterious Swordswoman. Game8 files her as an optional Perfect Transcension. Steam's achievements do not list this fight. This is not matched to the demo-era Red Wraith name on the boss list. Reported · Game8

- Where to find the fight
- Mandate Encampment. Game8 puts her on the tower by the Dovecote bell; PowerPyx says above the Dovecote as the last step of Daughter of the Dark Sect. PCGamesN only says the roof of a random building, with little room to move.

How the fight goes
Thread, then a strike
PCGamesN says that after she grabs you with thread, a red attack follows shortly. Game8 agrees that a crimson-thread bind always leads to a gap-closing strike, and that the bind is the telegraph, so you can set a block or parry before it lands. Game8 does not call that follow-up a red attack; PCGamesN does. Both are shown.
Backflips and the air-step slash
Game8 names two unblockable attacks tied to her backflip: a one-two slash that ends in a retreating strike, and a dagger throw that comes out only after she lands, so you delay the dodge a little. It also says she sometimes slashes while walking on air, and that a perfect parry on the last hit of that string opens a counter. PCGamesN does not describe those strings; it only tells you to watch her when she jumps to the spire.
How to beat Red
- Watch her when she jumps to the spire (PCGamesN).
- After the thread grab, expect a follow-up; PCGamesN calls it a red attack, Game8 a gap-closer you can block or parry.
- On the backflip, delay the dodge slightly for the dagger throw (Game8).
- Parry the last hit of the air-step slash (Game8).
- The roof is cramped (PCGamesN only).
