Acolyte Lei Ting is an optional lightning scarecrow in the Pangzhen slums and drops Leiting's Thunder Mask. Vandal says the Lightning Rod accessory makes the fight trivial and flags a blue chain that ends on a red. PPE.pl instead walks expanding ground lines you have to jump, and wants you to stay close. How the fight goes

Opening spear and reds (Vandal)

Vandal says she has few attacks: a close combo, lightning from range, and several red attacks that are easy to return for damage. The standout string is a blue chain that ends on a red you can send back with a special animation. PPE.pl also says the opening spear hits are simple to parry, but it does not describe a blue-then-red chain.

Expanding lines and the beam (PPE.pl)

PPE.pl's plan is about the floor. A yellow line on the ground widens; jump it just before it reaches you, because an early jump still lands you in it. When she hops back, close in (she is strong at range) and also jump a chord that travels along the ground. When she aims at Soul, dodge sideways or a light beam hits for a large chunk of health. Vandal does not describe ground lines or a beam.

Charge and the air sequence (PPE.pl)

When she charges and is soaked in lightning, PPE.pl says back off, then jump the widening line again. When she flies over the arena, parry the spear hits and stand still: the lightning circles around you, so dodging walks you into it. Watch only for her closing in with the spear. Vandal does not describe this sequence.

How to beat Acolyte Lei Ting

  • Equip the Lightning Rod if you have it; Vandal says the fight then becomes trivial.
  • Parry the opening spear hits (PPE.pl) and return the easy reds (Vandal).
  • Jump expanding ground lines at the last moment, not early (PPE.pl).
  • Dodge sideways when she aims a beam at you (PPE.pl).
  • Stay close after she hops back; she is stronger at range (PPE.pl).
  • When lightning circles the floor, stand still and parry the spear (PPE.pl).
