Phantom Blade Zero controls and settings: controllers, keybinds, voice and audio
A controller works on PC: Steam lists Xbox, PS4 and PS5 pads, and tags the game gamepad-preferred. Confirmed· Steam Store No official PC key list is out yet, so we print none. Whether PC keys can be rebound is disputed (see below).
The controller side is official. The keyboard side is not yet.

Controllers
On Steam the game lists full Xbox controller support, PS4 and PS5 controllers (wired or Bluetooth) and Steam Input, and is tagged as gamepad-preferred. Keyboard and mouse are supported too.
No official default keyboard-and-mouse layout has been published, and the launch-day guides we checked list only the PlayStation layout.

DualSense on PC
On PC, Steam lists PS5 controller support. The Outerhaven used a DualSense on PC through an adapter, said its features worked, and had no complaints apart from audio through the controller's built-in speaker, which did not play.
Whether PC keys can be rebound is disputed. The Outerhaven, reviewing on PC, says you can remap mouse and keyboard controls. A Brazilian outlet's earlier review, quoted on Steam, said the absence of control remapping bothers; that outlet's page has since been taken down, so we cannot read it.

How we handle it: Both claims are from before or around launch and may describe different builds. Check the in-game controls screen.
PS5 default layout
Block on L1 and dodge on R1 come from two demo reports on our combat guide. A wiki lists the full layout below.

Demo reports
On PS5's DualSense in the demo builds, L1 parries (hold it to block) and R1 dodges; Square and Triangle build attack strings. PC keyboard bindings and exact timing windows are not published.
On PS5 the game offers three different button layouts, and PC has more flexible remapping options. S-GAME gave the count only; it has not published names or a button-by-button list for the three layouts.
The names and contents of the three PS5 layouts are not published by S-GAME, and the layout listed by Fextralife does not say whether it is the default or one of the presets.

Full layout
Fextralife lists this PS5 layout: Square light attack, Triangle heavy attack, Cross jump, Circle interact, L1 block, R1 dodge, L2 Power Surge, R2 Phantom Edges, L3 crouch, R3 lock on, Touch Pad opens the map, D-pad left/right switch weapon and Phantom Edge, D-pad up/down use medicine.
The PS5 version supports DualSense vibration and trigger effects. Sony's page describes adaptive triggers (you feel the weight of your Phantom Edges) and haptic feedback on blade clashes.
On PC, Steam lists PS5 controller support. The Outerhaven used a DualSense on PC through an adapter, said its features worked, and had no complaints apart from audio through the controller's built-in speaker, which did not play.
Reviewers say you can play with either voice track: The Outerhaven switched between the English and Chinese dubs and played mostly in English, and a dub comparison says you pick one before you start.
We found no source saying whether turning subtitles off also hides item or sign text. The stores describe advanced subtitles for spoken dialogue and an adjustable text size on Steam, but nothing about a separate switch for other text.

English voice cast
Only the English dub has a public cast so far. We list a name only when outlets agree on it.

Soul
In the English dub, Soul is voiced by Roger Craig Smith, known for Sonic the Hedgehog. He replaced Jay Maksenuk, who had been named for the role before launch and can still be heard in older trailers and gameplay videos.
One report names Maggie Robertson, known as Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, as the English voice of Mu Xiaokui. We found only that one report, with no credits or S-GAME statement behind it, so we treat it as a lead.
The PS5 version supports Tempest 3D AudioTech (via TV speakers or stereo headphones, setup required) and lists volume controls as an accessibility option. Dolby Atmos is not mentioned on the PlayStation page or Steam.
The Steam store lists a single DLC, Phantom Blade Zero Deluxe Edition Upgrade ($10), whose contents include an in-game digital soundtrack together with two outfits and an in-game digital art book. We found no separate soundtrack release on Steam. Whether a standalone album will follow is not announced.
Per Wccftech, the PC graphics menu has five presets (Low to Ultra), window mode, resolution, film grain, motion blur and upscaling with DLSS, FSR, XeSS and TSR. There is no handheld preset.
What are the default PC keyboard and mouse controls, and can I rebind them?
S-GAME has not published a PC key list, so we show none. Rebinding is disputed: one PC reviewer says you can remap, while an earlier review said remapping was missing. Check the in-game controls screen.
Does Phantom Blade Zero support DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers?
On PS5, yes: Sony lists vibration and trigger effects. On PC, Steam lists PS5 controller support and one reviewer says the features worked via an adapter, though not the controller speaker.
