Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet: boss guide

The name Yuzan appears in the Steam achievement "The Four Freed", which lists the Four Great Puppets: Yuzan, Yubi, Yuding and Yucong. How the fight goes

What she does

She fights from range with pipa attacks: a straight-line chord blast, three sonic blades in a row, a wind vortex that traps you, homing air orbs, a barrage of orbs and a cyclone with wind hazards on the floor (Fextralife). Game8 adds that she hovers while playing and that the orb attack is her most common sequence.

How to beat Yuzan

• Hold block when the glowing orbs home in. Game8 says this bounces them back and hurts her a little. Fextralife agrees that deflecting orbs is your main source of damage. Dodge the fast red shot that ends the sequence.
• During her red and blue area attack around her, back off and use ranged throws to interrupt it. Game8 says interrupting forces her back into the orb sequence.
• In the cyclone, move to the arena edge so you only face the orbs and not the floor hazards (Fextralife).
• Dodge each pair of slashes that follows a blue spark and then a red spark on her instrument (Game8).
• Sidestep the chord blast at the last second, or get behind her as she winds it up. Dodge the first sonic blade to avoid the rest (Fextralife).
• Game8's character note says parrying her sound waves and blue sound blades also sends them back at her.
