How the fight goes
What he does
He wields the Tianxuan Bronze Sword and moves quickly. Fextralife lists a two-slash string, blade waves fired in a straight line, a charged overhead slash followed by a quick second cut, a crouched energy thrust, and a leaping slash from a wide stance. Game8 stresses that he blocks often and has a parry stance.
Phases

How to beat Master Bi Yuan
- Stop attacking when he blocks. Game8 says he rewards restraint: he blocks your hits, then counters once you keep swinging.
- Never hit into his parry stance. Game8 says it parries you completely and leaves you open; you can still block or dodge the counter in the short window afterwards.
- Fight at close-to-mid range. Fextralife says staying far away makes him use blade waves and the energy blast, which travel fast; block the waves if you cannot close in.
- Parry the vertical slash. Game8 says it has a clear wind-up pose before the blue glint, which sets up a Ghoststep counter. Fextralife marks the second cut of his charged overhead string as blue, and says you can block the first slash of his two-slash string and parry the second.
- Dodge the leaping slash right after the red glint. Game8 calls it his unblockable move and the only one where he attacks after jumping; Fextralife marks his wide-stance leap as red as well.
- Sidestep the straight sword slashes and the crouched energy thrust, then counter (Fextralife).
