Iron Fiend and Jade Dancer: boss guide
Iron Fiend and Jade Dancer are the Young Mistress's two guards in the Village of Lu, fought together. Iron Fiend is an unarmed brawler tied to Stone Hand Iron Fever, and Jade Dancer fights with blades on the legs. Both guides say to kill Iron Fiend first, but they disagree on what unlocks the fight. Reported · Game8
Game8 names the pair Iron Fiend and Jade Dancer and calls Iron Fiend the senior brother of Iron Fever. Steam does not name them. The Chinese guide we cross-checked, from Gamersky, calls the Young Mistress's two guards 铁鬼 and 玉妖, and the BWIKI boss list has both names. We matched them by role and fight style, and found no official English-Chinese pairing. Reported · Game8
At a glance
- Where to find the fight
- The end of the Village of Lu, as a continuation of the Mu Xiaokui boss fight (Game8's chapter name is Heartless Remnant). Game8 says you need the Young Mistress questline done and Mu Xiaokui beaten through her first two phases. Gamersky says you must first collect all five of her ribbons around the Village of Lu, and that the guards then come out when her second-phase health is down to a third. We have not confirmed whether those are the same trigger.

How the fight goes
Two against one
Game8 calls it a 1v2 fight and says to keep dodging in a direction that lets you see both of them, so you never get trapped between. It says it is easiest to get some space and isolate Iron Fiend first, because his aggressive move set gives openings while Jade Dancer catches up. Gamersky describes Jade Dancer as a very mobile fighter with leg blades and ranged attacks, and calls Iron Fiend essentially a re-skin of Iron Fever, the earlier unarmed boss.
Combined attacks and grabs
Game8 says that when the two are close they can chain a three-hit combined attack, with purple effects around Jade Dancer's blades, that ends in a parryable blue glint; either one can also use a solo version of it. It lists four red-glint grabs: Jade Dancer's horizontal scissor kicks, and Iron Fiend's whirlwind dash, tactical retreat and surprise kicks. The surprise kicks are the fastest and give almost no warning. Gamersky does not describe the grabs.
How to beat Iron Fiend and Jade Dancer
- Kill Iron Fiend first. Both guides say so; Gamersky adds that he is basically Iron Fever again, so Stone Hand Iron Fever's patterns help.
- Keep both of them on screen by dodging sideways instead of backward (Game8), so you do not get trapped between them.
- Learn the rhythm of the first two hits of the combined attack and parry the third, which has a blue glint (Game8). That sets up a Ghoststep counter.
- Dodge as soon as you see the red glint on any grab. Game8 says there are four, and that Iron Fiend's surprise kicks are the hardest to read.
- Expect Jade Dancer to have ranged attacks as well as the leg blades (Gamersky), so staying at a distance does not make you safe.
